Through the Strategic Objectives for the Global Game: 2023-2027, FIFA President Gianni Infantino intends for FIFA to organise more competitions, to develop football and to expand FIFA's presence around the world in order to better serve our fans and all our stakeholders. This will be realised via the 48-team FIFA World Cup 26™, the 32-team FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, the 32-team FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ - and supported by additional revisions at national team and under-age level, thanks to expanded participation for teams and more frequent tournaments.
